erbert Hopfensperger is a modern light artist.
He discovers the mysteries of light by using the most modern technology and digital tools.
With his pictorial innovations he proves himself as an innovator, someone like Vermeer van Delft, William Turner and the French Impress-
ionists.
He opened a whole range of new possibilities for the representation of light with the means of art.
Herbert Hopfensperger’s works are ambiguous. They can be mystically considered to be cosmic, whether macro or microcosmic.

opfensperger’s works will not only be seen and admired as technical masterpieces, but they also invite those who have eyes to see to a meditation, contemplation and self-reflection.
They are mirror images for our own soul. They expand our consciousness and confront us, as gentle as possible, with the question of all questions: Where
did we come from and where are we going?
Energy is made visible by means of artistic representation. The artist processes his pictures by technical findings of astrophysics and nuclear knowledge.
Electrons and other elementary particles spread in the speed of light, when the cosmos had just been created from light.

erbert Hopfensperger was born in 1962 in Prien at Chiemsee, and always had the majesty of Alps, illuminated by the sun and snow in winter as his view.
He grew up in and around Munich and finished his academic and practical training as a mechanical engineer.
He worked as such for several years before moving to a private TV channel in 1993 and there he took up an activity in which the use of the new media with camera and computer is part of everyday activity.
Herbert Hopfensperger discovered the photography when he was a teenager.
In 1980 he bought the smallest reflex camera, a Pentax A 110 which was available at that time.
He photographed the life of the Tuaregs in the interior Libya and made friendships that enriched him and accompanied him to this day.
Herbert Hopfensperger discovered his photo technique in 2004 and 2005.
